Volunteering for Scouting
Is great way to develop your skills, join the adventure and make friends, at the same time contributing to the development of Young People. The
Want to Join system is available to make an enquiry for people to join a Local Scout Group; to volunteer in many ways. We often look for people join the county team that supports Scouting across the area. The team supports and develops a quality Scouting programme for the young people of Greater Manchester East by working with leaders, administrators, managers, trustees and others. Our role includes strategic management, specialised support, advice, activity management, administration, training, governance and leadership over a thousand volunteers.
Details of avaiable roles can be found below. Applications from anyone over the age of 18 who meet the criteria are welcome. This includes those current members of The Scout Association and those who are not part of Scouting currently. Nominations are also welcome. For some roles the search team may also identify suitable candidates. Normally there will be a closing date for applications and nominations. A simple application form is available that should be completed and sent to the person detailed in the information. Email or face to face applications are also accepted.
